“Opportunities are being created, livelihoods are improving and wildlife is returning, proving that nature can provide a sustainable economy for the populations that occupy its magnificent ecosystem” - R.E.S.C.U.E

Ol Malo House

Ol Malo House sits on the edge of an escarpment on a privately-owned family ranch and game sanctuary in Kenya’s wild Northern Laikipia Province. The House was designed and built by the Francombes particularly with multi-generational travel in mind. Guests of the Francombes have the opportunity to witness Kenya through the eyes and minds of those who know and love this land.

“This is all about the view from every room. Almost ceiling to floor windows overlooking a tree-peppered valley with the the odd volcanic kopje, up to the mountains in the hazy distance. This is a beautiful luxury house set into the hillside in a rocky wilderness shared with only the odd Samburu herdsman.” - Trip Advisor Review

“It is such an assault on your senses coming to a place like Kenya because it isn’t just wildlife, it isn’t just the dust, it’s the culture, it’s the topography, it’s the starry nights, it’s the skies. There is nowhere in the world like it. We are a home away from home, that’s the whole point of us” - Emma Childs, The Emakoko.
