Safaris For Generations
From our family to the wild - intimate journeys that honour and protect the places we love!
Overview
Who We Are
Kenyan-owned. Nairobi-based. Since 2003.
Bush & Beyond is a locally run safari company that blends deep roots with modern know-how. Founded in 2003 and strengthened in 2010 through the amalgamation of Richard Bonham Safaris (est. 1978) and Bush Homes of East Africa (est. 1995), we’re a team dedicated to thoughtful, seamless travel across East Africa.
We manage central reservations for a handpicked group of owner-run camps and lodges- developed over decades with a clear commitment to protecting their landscapes and to authentic, traditional hosted safari hospitality. Each property is unique, set on private land, community and wildlife conservancies, and even a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Lewa Wildlife Conservancy). Our portfolio includes Lewa House; Ol Malo Lodge, Ol Malo House and Ol Malo Nomad; Tangulia Mara Camp and Tangulia Ndogo; Reteti House; Sarara Camp, Sarara Treehouses and Sarara Wilderness; The Emakoko; Mara Siana and NaiSabah.
From first idea to wheels-up, we also design and operate tailored itineraries throughout East Africa, booking city hotels, safari camps, beach properties, scheduled and charter flights and vehicle transfers. Bush and Beyond is able to organise all in country logistics for a safari itinerary and has a dedicated team who are happy to advise, quote and book requested itineraries.
Bush & Beyond is moving into the future with a reimagined logo - one that reflects our history, our family foundations and the future we are building together. Read about the story behind our new brand here.
