Kenya Entry Requirements:-

  1. Please read the latest Kenya general travel requirement issued on the 9th May 2023.

  2. On the 12th of December 2023 – Kenya’s 60th Jamhuri (Independence) Day celebrations – his Excellency, the President William Ruto announced:
“It is with great pleasure, as president of this extraordinary country, to make a historic announcement of the decision of the Government of Kenya. Beginning January 2024, Kenya will be a visa-free country, it shall no longer be necessary for any person from any corner of the globe to carry the burden of applying for a visa to come to Kenya. To echo the call of the Turkana people to the world: “Tobong’u Lorre!” Kenya has a simple message to humanity: Welcome Home!” he added.

In response to this, the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, State Department for Immigration and e-Citizen have developed and are operating the Republic of Kenya Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) that travellers will need to apply for in place of the e-VISA through the e-Citizen platform. It is mandatory for all travellers to Kenya to apply for this eTA.

The eTA website can be found here www.etakenya.go.ke/en
    It is important to note:

    1. The eTA website is now accepting applications.

    2. All pending eVISA applications already received in the system will be processed and issued.

    3. All eVISAs issued are valid for travel within their validity period of 90 days and will be honored on arrival.
